Vipers 10 - Round 5

Youth shines and Robinson writes more history

We believe the children are our future, teach them well and reduce their CdA, show them all the watts they can save in ride... The Shaftesbury Young Guns, Beales, Barlows, Dyer are usually smashng it off road, the TT thing is a jolly - so we talked them through squeezing their position, and, well, Wow! Fred Barlow knocked over a minute off course PB and won the Open Road Bike category outright. Within a couple of seconds was Olly Beale winning the juveniille with a 40s PB, with Lochlan Dyer in 2nd as well as third handicap overall with a massive perfornance and even more astonishing PB. Isabel Beale impressed last week dipping under the 30min barrier - this time posting 29.03!!!! Will Barlow PB'd in fine form winning the Juniors.

Louise Robinson rode her first Vipers 10 and did what Louise does, triple gold in Female TT, Handicap, and Age Adjusted Cats (inflicting first defeat of the season on Baumber on Standard), third overall, and grabbing the Strava QOM and, to be verified, possible course record.

PBs were hit also by Pete Dyer (by a country mile), John Butcher, Gary Charles, Si Burns, Paul Wyatt. Ade Adeyemi went quicker by 2 minutes and we are delighted to announce joins the Shaftesbury this week. Chapeau all!

Debbie Coyle won the Female Road Bike (again), and Kevin Baumber the Open TT on 22.17, the quickest time thus far this season.
