The Doyenne of British Time Trialling

This year the F2/50 in Cambridgeshire will play host to the Shaftesbury Open 50, it is a fast course with a great road surface, perfect for hitting a PB.

One of the oldest events in the TT calendar, the event is the current host to the competition record, set by Marcin Bialoblocki in 2018. Prior champions include names such as Hutchinson, Cammish, Dawson and many more.

In 2022, Team Bottrill did the double, winning both the mens and womens events courtesy of Tom Hutchinson, fresh from his efforts in the Sub7 Ironman, and 2022 women's BAR champion Kate Allen.

The "Shaftesbury Centenary Trophy" has been awarded to the winner of the open 50 every year since 1988. Since 2023 the award is jointly awarded to the fastest competitor in both the open and female classifications. Claire Emons was the first, and current, winner of the female classification after winning the 2023 event. Current male holder is Jack Levick. Fancy getting your name on the winners roster for this classic event? Sign up now!

Early forecasts say this will be a fast day, and the chance to enjoy one of the great events in the calendar.
