What is an Audax (Randonee)?

The ethos is self-sufficiency over long distances but we provide plenty of grub at the HQ so you just need the legs & bike!

Unlike a sportive, the route is not signed.  You follow a self-guided route via printed route sheet or GPX, validated by recording answers to clues on "Brevet Card" (but many just take a photo & record it at the end).

Speed limits are 15-30kph - the competitive element is you vs the terrain but you do get a time  (which is not published but you can do this yourself via social media/Strava etc).

Nobody has ever completed one of my 200km/150km events in the minimum time so there's a challenge if you need one!

PS: it's not flat!

E-Brevet

If you have a smart phone (Android or iOS), you can ride the events with an eBrevet.  This uses GPS to verify your visit to controls and saves you finding/writing down information control clues.

To download the E-Brevet for this event, set the Brevet Code on your E-Brevet App to

23-270 for the 200km event

23-74 for the 150km event

23-73 for the 100km event

and then click "Download Brevet".

If you are worried about battery life; your phone only needs to be on (with location services turned on) at each control. You only need mobile data or access to WiFi when you download the eBrevet before the ride and to upload your completed eBrevet after the ride.   E-Brevet Instructions
