Vipers 10 - Round 4

Shaftesbury racers heat things up in the cold

More low temperatures melted away in face of the heat of the red hot form of Gary Charles (handicap winner), Olly Beale (juvenile winner - busting the 26min barrier) and John Butcher, all of whom course PB'd. Pablo and Issy Bealle were only a few seconds outside record marks too. Ramsey Kechacha pummeled the course into submission with a road bike time of 23:24 and a category win In prep for this weekend's Nationals. Debbie Coyle also switched onto the road bike for another win in preparation for a leading role in the club's push for success in the upcoming Essex Championships. Baumber La Bomba (pictured by Omnirocker) caught some vibes taking 1st overall, open TT, and Vets prizes with a 22:47 - but couldn't unclip his helmet after without Mark Thurlow's help due to frozen claws where his hands used to be. A toasty and wise Scott Beard who rode snuggly in every item of kit he owns showed good grace in not saying anything.
